VN *Chug-chugging*

Hey guys,

My 89 VN berlina wagon has gradually started to make a "chug-a chug-a chug-a" noise at idle. Cant really hear it while driving but its obvious at idle. Im pretty sure its not a sound common to VN's and its pretty embarrassing because of how bad it sounds. It sort of sounds like the noise is coming from the section where the flywheel and torque converter meet but I cant say for sure. If anyone has any clue on what it could be I would really appreciate any input so I can get to fixing it.

Could be a crack in the flex plate, can you record a video and youtube it or something? Hard to tell... when you initially said 'chugga chugga' I was thinking idle misfire.
