vibration when accelerating
my 3.8L sshakes when taking off. there are very little mods done chiped and wheels. hopein for turbo setup with intercooler l8er. maybe twin turbos or chev 454 on gas any one heard of these mods
Hmmm...maybe its a transmission problem or maybe even the differential. I am assuming its an auto?
tranny runs strong it is auto my dad reckons it is the carrier bear diff seems fine
What about the rear control arms,?
When my upper bushes were shot it used to shake when accelerating hard, I think they act like a tramp rod to stop axle windup.
Have a search there are heaps of threads about this.
Could be many things including engine/gearbox mounts, uni joint, centre bearing etc
Check the center bearing on ya tailshaft it might have worn, i had the same problem in an old VN and in my new car a VP series two I replaced it and the problem stopped and it only cost about 25 bucks!!
Have you got any mods on this car or have you only chipped it. If your chip isnt suited to your car/mods, it is possible that it has thrown the timing, mixture etc.
