Shortened VN shocks into VR IRS

Can I get away with borrowing the shortened shocks from my live axle VN and sticking them in my IRS VR for a few weeks? The shocks that are in my VR at the moment aren't short enough to keep the king springs captive. :S

All I know is that they are different, I can't tell you how.....they have different part numbers for the IRS and live axle. I think IRS shocks are shorter anyway.
