Default Nolathane bush kit - VN

Hi I will be buying the full Nolathane kit EVOCOM1 for my VN and fitting it, however I come across something strange when I was looking under the front of the car. I just bought it and it has stuff loose so I checked it out.

First noticeable thing was this mount!?! Is there a guide on how things are meant to bolt up underneath there?

when you do these up i'm pretty sure you have car on ground (with wheels on it of coarse) rock it side to side then tighten till the start to pinch the bushes

Sorry I been pretty busy. I did an engine flush last night and will be spending this weekend removing the suspension. I'll get around to taking pics soon. The top part of the bush can slide up that whole shaft. It rattles when moving the car and the car feels like im driving on rocks to a certain degree... I'm prepared to replace whatever is needed.

you just need new sway bar link pins, ive seen a few commo's do that, they washer has just slipped past the ribbed bit on the pin so just get heavy duty ones as they are better

Pics of the front bush. I got a price of $48 for the kit from Wilksonsons, they didn't say what brand... however I can get the Superpro kit from supercheap for $55+$9 freight. I am still researching which to go with. I always used Nolathane, and looks better quality than SuperPro.

Thanks for the link Cheap6, after examining my photo it seems pretty ez to replace it. All I've done with the car since I got it on Sunday is remove the front bumper, engine flush and cut n polish. Tomorrow I'll replace the plugs, fill all fluids, remove the front bar links, front seats and rear bumper. Then Sunday I'll go pick up my 16" rims and put them on.... I think the 17's it come with are buckled to buggery... the car feels like its driving on rocks in the 20m I drove it lol.

It's a bit tarnished on the right hand rear but after I cut it back some more I will be able to tell if it will buff out. The bonnet, boot and fenders polished up like a 160,000km car, very good. However, haven't paid much attention to the exterior yet, going to get it painted after. Bumper paint job looks terrible, and wasn't sitting on properly in that photo. I removed it now, and I doubt I'll put it back on... going to go with the grandma venetians look probably.

I took some pics today, I'll upload them when I wake up Sunday morning -.-

Ball Joints,Tie rod ends & HD Sway Bar Link Rod & Bush kit this week. I'll do them next weekend. Car starts straight away, but a few things to iron out.... like it feeling like Im driving on rocks. Getting my commo rims on there tomorrow and I'll see if it's their dodgy rim bashed rims. Also the thrust bearing seems like it's a bit wonky on the gearbox, so that will be an excuse for an Exedy HD clutch =)
