factory is electric, wouldnt bother with a manual one , if your going to get a sunroof its because its a luxury, might aswlel go 1 step better na dget an electric one

I wouldnt put a manual one in, not just cause im lazy, but they look ugly when they are up i think, i saw one in a VX the other day. Looked terrible.

    gday guys,
i own a vn calais which has an aftermarket electric sunroof,

personally, i would only get it installed by a proper sunroof installation shop.

mine was in the car when i bought it and is bad,
it gets jammed and you have to force it open for the 1st 2inches.
    due to bent rails.
its also rusting around the seal
I also beleive they roll the roof over to get a better seal.
if this isnt cut to exact measurements it will leak.

And most only come with a 3year warranty so after 5 years i would probobly expect it to fail.

also when glass breaks its very very hard to find a matching size.

I would give it a miss unless you really really want 1

but theres nothing better than cruising on a hot summer night just hearing the boost through the sunroof.
