i know this question has been asked b4
my horn works only now and again, ive had a good look and worked out the brass pin behind the steering wheel has worn out,
how do you get the plastic thing off the steering shaft tried for ages and couldnt get it off.![]()
I think you are talking about the indicator bit. From memory there is a screw top anf bottom.
The brass pin just pops out with just a little pressure.
Or you can pack 2 small washers under all 3 screws holding the brass ring on. (this worked for my car)
White 05 V6 VZ Executive - Thrashed Ex Telstra car
and 3 Dangerous non ABS VN's
All I did was smash an old festoon globe, get the glue out, and slip the end cap over the end of my horn contact pin, problem solved.![]()
There are two plastic clips you pry out (from memory) ,the reason that they can where out is the shaft maybe collasped a little bit as they are telescopic so they dont impale you in an acident ,
Cheers guys finally did it theres a horse shoe shape washer with 2 small holes in it got that off and pulled the spring out and it slipped straight out.![]()
