gday guys....my powersteering pump is leaking at the seal where the housing(like where you put the fluid in) is connected to the metal block....how would i re-seal this??
sorry, i'll explain it a bit better....
where the resevoir sits in the cast iron block.
ther should be a small rubber seal that sits in there and it probally needs replacing
If replacing the o-ring doesn't help, clean and dry it up, then stick some silicone sealant around the lip, and put it back together. Leave to dry 24hrs before you drive it again. Worked for me on my VP.

hey dont know if u sort the problem out but i have the same deal
well did
i bought a powersteering repair kit off ebay for $8
took my powersteering pump off and took it apart
put the new seals n everything else
put it back together
and i had like a brand new powersteering pump
hope this works
Pull the reservoir off, (need to take off pulley, then it's just two screws and the return line), place a container under the return line spout so the fluid can empty. On the base spout of the reservoir there will be an o-ring, take that o-ring into any auto parts store, tell them you want a replacement, and that it needs to be heat/automatic transmission fluid resistant, fit the new o-ring, run a bead of fluid over it with your finger so it seals nicely, then put it all back together/re-fill!![]()
