    Question Straight exhaust?

I'm a cheap bastard and do want a spend anything on a fancy exhaust :P i thinking of just putting a 2.5" straight cat back on my VN V6. anyone done this before? how would i go above doing it? how loud can i expect it to be? but i don't need you preaching all the road laws, i know them . i know the performance gain would be minimal but my current exhaust sounds like crap, the muffler rattles and its pissing me off.

As in just cutting the muffler itself at the end off completely????

a straight pipe from after the cat, still want the cat those fines are very pricey. no muffler or resonator and not stupid half hoop bend, direct as possible without having to change much. going under the axle an option?

Do you think the bends would cause a restriction on a VN V6? You're living in Lala land....

Guys lots of VN's have 2.5 inch cat backs. So you can find them laying around in wrecking yards all over the country. They aren't worth much in scarp metal and most yards will let them go very cheaply. Bit of recycling is allways good

No resi or muffler = Defect

You might get away with a resi and leave the rear muffler off. The missus bros VS passed a roady with just the resi and no muffler. Its loud as shit though so i dunno how it passed lol

as long as it doesn't exceed 90db it should be fine right?

FFS - a 2 1/2" redback system is less than $200. Have some consideration for your neighbors and do the job right.
