Some little SOB decided it was a wonderful idea to kick in my drivers side rear door 1/4 glass. I have picked up a replacement 1/4 glass from an identical model from the wreckers, but I am running into dramas installing the new glass.
I have removed the seals and what was left on the glass in the window, and the new 1/4 glass comes with seals and the like but my dramas are coming with fitting the new glass into the existing slot around the rubber seals on the window.
Anyone done this before, or know how to do?
You need to remove the whole 1/4 glass rubber and all as far as I know.
You will need to carefully remove the interior plastic covering from inside the car to gain access to the mounting screws.
EDIT: ignore the following, it's for a sedan. Oops.
For a VN, from memory (VP will differ slightly):
Remove hockey stick trim piece below the quarter window (hit towards front of car)
Remove other trim piece above the quarter window. (unscrews(?) )
Remove interior triangular plastic trim piece (will probably crumble into 1million pieces)
Undo nuts on old quarter glass
Remove old assembly
Apply sicaflex to new window to seal properly and not leak water into your boot
Install is reverse of removal.
Search 'VN VS boot leak' for a thread with possibly more info
Hope that helps you! <---- edit: it really won't have.

you were pretty much right, had to remove the hockey stick from the rear door to get the little *** in, did that and she went in like a glove, so to speak.

ist remove door skin the lock is the hardest if you havent done it before the red bit pulls forward and releases lock.
wind window down remove seals around window there are two to do.
the metal guide has a screw and a nut inside the door remove them.
that should let you side the guide across
the glass should slide in easy now
i hope this helps anyone needing to do this.
