i have another question, how can you change just the arial part of an electric arial, some ******** thought it was a good idea to snap mine when i had parked at knox city shops about a week ago

the motor still works i just need to change the arial, and when i look under the bonnet the is no access to the arial from there, where do you get to it from

you have to remove the inner guard mate......then under there..in the great dark abyyss...is the antenna................methinks you might have to replace the lot tho...($30 from supacheap)......

you can get the telescopic part of the arial and its attached plastic ribbon from supercheap. However it does cost more than a standard aerial. Is the expense and effort worth it? Once you get the arial out, you have to take the arial's motorsection apart and and take out the cogs and gears. ( if you have a digital camera takes pictures as you go so that you can see what went where then post them here for the next guy :-) I hope you have a lot of patience! threading the plactic ribbon may take more than two hands. also remove the glove box to get to where the arial cable joins with the sound system cable.
