    Default fuel gauge

    gday guys....just wondering....my fuel gauge fluctuates...like goes up and down as im driving....sometimes as much as a whole bar.....is this normal?

    expect it to flucuate abit when going up or down hill as the fuel will go to either end of the tank on hills and therefore the float in ur tank will go up and down accordingly.However if it happens on a flat rd i can only assume something wrong with your float

    mine does the same, but when i turn left it goes up and when i turn right it goes down.
    a whole notch sometimes too

    you should try to plot routes that only take left turns, that way the tank will last you longer

    Check the connection of the fuel sender.

    if i happens left to right,maybe the float arm is bent or something and is in the tank on a angle...When we did the fuel pump in the v6 is was that shit of a job to get it in without bending it,we found it easier to take the whole tank out...lol
