Hey guy's, im hopefully picking up a set of pursuits this weekend for my VP, becuase they are an inch wider, what would be the widest tyre you could fit to them? i currently have 205's, which i'm sure will fit no worries, but they will need replacing within the next few months...![]()
so they are 7 inch? i think you can fit 225 on them
1995 Manual HSV Clubsport
Wade Cam :: 9.2:1 CR :: Pacemaker headers :: Twin 2.5" Exhaust :: VT Brakes
1991 Supercharged VN Berlina
9 PSI SC14 Intercooled :: Genie headers :: Twin cats :: HM Twin 2.25 exhaust :: 3.45:1 LSD
Sorry to waste time guys' i was searching but i just found a thread similar with the answers, it was listed under chaser wheels, probably why i couldnt find it...some one can delete this if they like
yeah 15x7, apparently you can go up to 235's, which would look pretty sweet, but 225's are a better and safer bet..
is it legal to fit 215;s or 225's to a set of vs 15x7's
even though those sizes aren't mentioned on the tyre placard?
Interesting point, with all the restrictions in place these days, it probably is illeagal, which is really stupid in a way, because they issued the police cars with 15x7 wheels, for the simple fact they could fit a wider tyre, but a wider tyre could have just been fitted to the standard 15x6...
you can fit 235's you just have more side wall bulge. But 235 are expensive in 15 inch mych better going 225's. I had 225's on stock 6 inch rims so interceptors arent necessary

I am looking at 20" by 10. Just a quick question, for wheels size law restrictions, can you get an engineering slip so you can have larger wheels without being defected.?
