How the Fock do you put the height adjuster back together

Hi fellas, how the fark do you put the height adjuster back together on a VN drivers seat...Ive tried for hours to get the spring assembly back in and its fkn near impossible.. Anybody know any secrets to this?

Go down FOCKING the wreckers & rip off another drivers seat base...

I took a r/h height adjuster pulled it apart and turned it into one for the left but I remember having to go thru a bit of a procedure to get the big spring back together but I did it ok.
