gday guys....i get a petrol smell in the cabin when the car is idling sometimes and someone told me to try and clean the charcoal canister.....how do i do that?? do i just unplug it from the hoses the hose it out? or is there another method???
anyone at all?
i don't think they ever need cleaning, i know you can take it out and shake it and it shouldn't rattle. check the hoses to the tb are ok, but i think hosing it out would **** it up. it's not something i've ever heard of someone doing.
It could be the charcoal canister... it could also be a fuel leak. Wipe your finger around all the fuel lines under the hood and check your finger for petrol. You shouldn't smell any.

have you just filled the tank up? or is it there all the time. I know if you got a full tank and you can smell petrol is usually your breather lines on the tank have perished
