hey guys
i've been looking around pricing T5 conversion kits with everything needed included
i want to convert my VP V6 Auto, i dont have the money or the know how yet, but i would just like to know for the future. how much much should i be paying for a FULL kit in good working order with brand new or used gearbox?
cheers
cody
you best bet is to find a crashed manual car so that you have all the parts to do the conversion, if you get lucky it might only cost a few hundred. on the other hand you could contact some of the trans places like malwood automotive who specialise in this sort of thing but then you'd be looking $2K

ok yeah people have said thats the best idea, but since all the parts would be second hand out of the donor car, would they be likely to break? or would i be fine as long as the clutch is in good condition
on a stock 6 you dont have to worry about it breaking all that much. Gearbox bearings may be on the way out (whining in the box) ive seen reco exchange ones for 700 on ebay.
Conversion can go anywhere from 500 to $1000 on ebay then add 300 for replacing clutch and some new bushes and bolts
