Electric Mirror

The passenger side electric mirror is not working on my VP Calais, I've done a search and can't seem to find anything regarding it, I've heard the switches often become faulty and need replacing? Is there something else that causes the mirror to stop working?

dunno about what will make it stop working, but if you swap out the switch part DON'T open it, spring loaded ball bearings bounce all over the place, took me all night to get the bits back in place correctly, so not worth it

sorry, wasn't clear. don't open up the the switch mechanism itself.
