    Default smell of petrol fumes

    seems to be coming from the back of the car, can't tell exactly where... its been like that for a while but in the past week has got alot stronger, could this be the case if my car is running rough/rich or w/ever? i only getting 300k's to a tank fwy driving to work and back, not local driving

    check all the breather hoses in the driverside rear wheel arch behind the removable metal panel they are probably all perished and broken off
    I tune the oldschool way fear on the passengers face and knuckle colour cant go wrong
    tabbacco is still my favorite vegetable

    ^^ agree - all VN's are getting to the age where the petrol hoses at the rear by the tank are perrished.

    First you will notice when you fill the car up to the top. Then slowly it will happen all the time if the return hoses split. Pumps petrol onto the top of the tank. Real fire hazard.....

    i dont see the problem with the fuel smell, as fuel smells so nice *bakes*

    cheers guys, well my previous car i could overfill to the very top, now it overflows onto the ground(it doesn't come out the top of the neck of tank, somewhere inbetween?), im not sure why? not ssure if that has anything to do with petrol smell

    Breather hoses, I had the exact same problem.

    Don't fill up the tank past the first click and you will be right.

    lol it's true...all VN/VPs have the same damn problems right about now...engine mounts, fuel tank breather hoses, and farked taillights =P
