Default VN 3.8 S1 and S2 Timing Cover Differences

Was just wondering if either of the 2 timing covers are drastically different? My S1 cover is near impossible to find.. and when i do find one its on its way to being as corroded as mine.

I bought a s2 timing cover which looks exactly the saem as a s1.. bar:

    1) there is no bump in the middle of the cover which doesnt look like it would effect anything

    2) the hose outlet at the top looks to be a different size

    3) one of the water pump bolts goes all the way through on the S2.

Im hoping its going to fit lol otherwise $50 gone down the drain.

    Thanks all

Success! A S2 timing cover WILL work as long as you dont use teh spacer used in the S1 timing cover. Apparently it was deleted and was incorporated into the timing cover.

If you wonder why your belt is rubbing against the waterpump bolts and the bolts are only held in by ONE thread.. this is why lol

    All done
