vq v8 fuel pumps

hey guys well finally have determined the motor is not getting fuel, so the external pump is turning on, but not pumping fuel, when i got the car the wires were cut for it so im not sure if i have put them on the right way around.

also is there a pump internally aswell? if so how can this be tested ie take it out and + and - on a battery?

fixed the wires were the wrong way around so it wasnt sucking fuel from the tank on the external all fixed now..
