Some new photos - not the best but lots of work done from the last lot.

Horn now fixed, front gaurd dent poped out, boot light played with again - still not shutting the globe off when closed.

    Things to do:

Flush cooling system and fit "T" connectors in properly, the heater is fine, just takes a long time to get worm so I think the thermostat may be crook.

Fix the gas leak and stop it from stalling - I hate gas cars...... They just never seem to work for more than 5 mins. Hate hate hate hate gas cars.

The car went the the gas doctor today for a checkup. They found a leak in the front pipe, the mixture screw all the way in and the balance pipe floating in the engine bay.

All fixed now and runs heaps better.

Speed never killed anyone. Suddenly becoming stationary, now that's what gets you...

Well funny you should ask For the very first time all 5 tail and stop lights work as they should and the bonus is that the flashers work as well as the reversing lights. Awsome.

And still having issues with the fuel gauge....it's on it's last chance - 7lb waiting for the little sucker. Fail once more and SMASH.

Hood lining has been stripped of the loose cloth and now painted gloss black cardboard

The VN Calais goes in for a VT M/C and booster upgrade tomorrow along with a new LHS rear axel.

VT booster and M/C are all in and working great. LHS rear axel replaced so no more wobblie wheels.

Gas man called and he has fixed the gas issue (not working). So the only problem now is a sticky feul gauge or sender. The temp gauge works fine.

The Calais got some new bits this week. New thermostat, harmonic balancer, heater hoses, radiator, heater tap, engine mounts, gearbox mount, fan belt think and idler pully. Only lost 1 arm and 1 leg for all that work

This is the last week the Calais will be in Adelaide. It's off to Mt Gambier on Friday for a 3-4 month stay while the driver takes on some remote ambo training.

Little update on the Calais - it killed a skippy last week with only a minor bit of fur under the car. Also some minor flat spots on the front tyres. The fronts locked very quick tho. (VT M/C and booster with standard V6 calipers and rotors) There was a good deal of weight in the boot so the nose was up at the front and the roo went under the left front wheel (the roo was on the down side of it's hop)

The 12 months of lost licence has now passed and the white Calais is back on the road! Changed the battery (dead flat), put some coolant in it and filled the power steering pump (bone dry) and it fired up first kick. bit lumpy for a few minutes and then ran fine. (better than the wagon runs anyway lol)

I did fit a new IAC valve motor for the idle - but I new it was bugfgered (new word) last year when I used it on the wagon (failed to fix the wagon at the time)

So down to the servo for petrol and gas and off it went for a little test drive - daughter gets pulled over by un marked cop car for licence check.

Some sort of record I'd say... her first drive on her own and about 6 mins into it pulled over LOL. All clean and car is in top nic for every thing working (all tested as dad's do before she left)

    RIP White Calais.

Motor removed and now the car sits out back of McLaren Vale ready for it's final strip down in a week or so.
