Just get a long piece of wood to stop the panel flexing when you beat the lip.... Also just heat it up with a heat gun, should help stop the paint from cracking

Thanks mate, if I give it a go myself, I will be sure to try this out.

Okay so I've started to pull out the motor now, she has quite a few oil leaks and its getting really bad, so time for a rebuild, some mild work, smoothening the engine bay then respraying it body colour and also hidding all the bay wiring.

    Starting pulling her down:

then my phone died and i didnt get any more pictures, but you get the gist

Planned to have the motor out at this stage but got slack and enjoyed my holidays a little too much so its still in, but I have been doing other work.

Got stuck into cleaning up the t5, there was sooo much oil you can see in the photos but all over the bottom of it was caked, the rear main had been leaking for some time.

    to this:

and relocated and fiberglassed up my washer bottle:

Doesnt look like much work, but that gear box was a down right c*nt to clean!

annd thats how shes sitting now, gearboxless.

Unless you find bog under there like I did so yes, I cracked the paint on the passenger side fairly badly. ####ing hate discovering shit paint/panel jobs. Bastards are supposed to be professionals.

okay so the engine is finaaally out! we can start the bay work now which ive reallly looked forward to do. The bay wiring is well under way, with most of it being pushed back thourgh the firewall now the interior looks like a mess! no dash wiring everywhere! but it will be worth it when its back together, also started playing around with the engine

Well engine plans at the moment are: Get everything thats being reused acid bathed, 1.9:1 Ratio Rockers, Shave the heads and Intake Manifold, Rebuild the Heads, Cam Regrind, Full Rebuild with Hi-Comp Pistons, Double Valve Springs, Dyno Tune, Roll Master Timing Chain, and replace all the shit thats been leaking that wont be included in the rebuild kit. costing me a fair bit but its worth it.

Thanks buddy, words like that make me that much prouder of her. I'm loving this car more and more everyday i don't think it will ever leave my possession.
