Default VP V6 '93 executive series 2, FREE

I picked it up today uncle didn't want it anymore, it is on duel fuel and runs good on both fuels, just needs a slight tune? exhaust a little loose, has tinted windows, aircon and heater work bloody good, needs a wash but apart from that after looking under the car it looks good !

now it just needs a rwc and reg :P

most of the parts i have from my second car, always wanted a wagon, but to get one for free is good! do these have a 68lt tank in 'em?

the gas tank is bolted to the right side of the boot, which looks shit!! :P (thought they normally bolt it behind the seat?

has a lot of Km's, but anything is better then dying vn :P

definitely, just a question, an ex australian defence vehicle, nothing special is it? lol

people reckon its a bt1 because of that, but bt1 is ex-cop car isn't it?, and because of the dash but until its true i wont be believing a word

    my current car has:
    no air con
    no heater
    no cruise control
    no gas

this baby has it all, so to most its still a bomb, but to me its jackpot :P

Looks like a BT1 cluster to me as well, it has the extra speed incriments.

A normal tank is approximately 68 useable litres and off memory a donut tank is approximately 40 useable litres. I'd swap the tank for a donut tank which fits in where your spare wheel goes and gives your cargo space back. Spare wheel either gets mounted to a bracket and sits on the drivers side of the cargo area, otherwise buy one of those tyre inflation cans from Autobarn or similar.

    Good score for free anyway!

So I whipped out the user manual, and noticed the remote central locking, and, noticed the light, had 2 spare remote keys, but no security lock key, as it was set to the off position I couldn't use the remote controls.

i jumpered a temporary wire from the wires that come out of the 'electronic security lock' as it was turned to the 'OFF' position, so now its wired temporarly to 'ON', lock (located in the passenger side ajar) and now, the remotes work... however....

obviously I need to drill the over-ride key(barrel) out as it is pop riverted in, but to get possession of another barrel and key, are they hard to come by at the wreckers? what about buying a newy.. expensive yeah?

    heres a pic i scanned

i wouldnt worry about changing it, just leave it bypassed, if you are really worried go to holden and ask if u can get a key made for it.

btw nice pickup, hadnt seen a bt1 wagon before. might be bigger than 68l tank if its bt1
