not the best first time i went tmprature hit 43 degrees every one on the day except for ppl running lpg just got vapour lock

second time did really well up until 3/4 track the lifters started to pump up i think it was due to crappy old valve springs not coping with the cam
i was keeping up with mates that were running low 14s till 3/4 track then it would just die in the ass ended up best of 16 flat

got new motor waiting to be build for it should be a ripper going the whole hog 355 vn heads roller rockers forged internals 10.9:1 comp solid cam
might even go with some nitro later down the the track with that motor im aiming for low 11s high 10s would be grouse
got a 9 inch at sean mullins getting converted as we speak

the car at the moment is 253 aussi 4speed and banjo
the heads and manifolds were match ported has a crow cam i forget the specs but its pretty much as lumpy as u can go before major valve train works
distributor is electronic one outa vh but has a points cap and xe rotor button so it would fit

has extractors and custom made 2 1/2 inch exhaust with balance pipe and straight through mufflers

i rebuild the gearbox myself from ground up its got new synchros new cluster gear layshaft bearings thrust washers

the diff is just a banjo that i fully rebuilt after blowing up half a dozen i thought id put some effort into it and set up pinion height back lash and all that has copped a flogging
but the new motor would just spit it out hence the 9 inch

fanailly finished gfs vh motor the lil old 20 goes pretty good still needs some tuning but the stato flat to the floor only creeps away from her not as a slow or fast pace so im pretty happy barks really good any way scored a 308 out of a vk so instead of rebuildinbg the fluffy to get torry back on road gonna stick all good shit of torry on to the 308 then once i build up a 355 ill give the motor tothe mrs to go into the vh she will be off her ps by then and we should have her car handling right aswell had to mak up some shoty accelerator cable brackets and return springs for the webber

when i pulled the old cam out last half a dozen lobes were almost flat

bit of an update i been going nuts at the rust in the torry and got another 308 for 200 bux out of a vk heads are shot cams shot but rings are good and bore is still in factory spec
so sticking all the gear from the fluffy into that and dropping that in and gotta go pick up the 9 inch soon so hopefully aim at running in the 13s this year as long as i beat my m8 ill be happy haha ha also bought a hj ute that ended up being way to rusty the mor i pulled it down

isnt rust just so much fun

yeah but i wouldnt trade my torry for any other car and for a car thats a 33 yr old car so you gotta expect rust especially with the amount of stuff they leave bare metal if you dont see it
finished honning the 308 yesterday so will be cleaning the decks and putting pistons back in today
