Im gonna shoot down to the wreckers today and check out any 2nd hand rear bumpers in good conditon, but im really after a vp one, a one piece bumper and get that painted.

The wheels are clean coz they are brand new haha.. been sitting in boxes for 12 months.. and only just had tyres put on em

The paint on it is a lil worse for wear though, the boot is faded a fair bit.. and theres a few big dints here and there.. one from me unfortunately, reversed into a tree

They were $440 for all of em + 100 to get them all machined so $540 all up.. they were pull offs. Got them from Holmart, i went in to buy a set turned out he already sold em.. he saw how down i was and he said "one sec lemme make a call" comes back 5 mins later saying i have another set, same price they are yours.

and Yeah they are VE Calais V

I disagree .. I think the VP rear bumper looks killer on some cars .. Paint it in imperial blue and it will look nice as ..

I think black bumpers only suit lighter coloured cars .. Or black cars o.O

Update, i put some power windows in
did some little mods to the rear doors to allow for the switches to fit where the winders were. and put some clips that hold the parcel shelf into the front to cover the holes, im happy with it

Its not really all that hard really, id say a 6 for me coz i didnt know half of what i was doing because dad helped and hes an auto elec.

But if you got your hands on some nice calais door trims it would be extremely easy, just that the only hard parts are drilling out the rivets for the original winder windows, and running the loom through the car. I ended up hvaing the whole dash out to get it done properly.

I got the 4 regulators for 100 and the wiring loom for 26. i was lucky enough to get the switches for free :P

But the complicated part of putting in the back doors are the location of the switches, because where the cable to run the arm on the reg is right behind where window winder was. so i ended up cutting back the switch, and soldering wire straight onto it. and got some different 5 pin plugs and sockets to make up a different little loom for the switch.

i also took apart the big dash loom, and removed the central locking wire just to tidy it up a bit, becuase ive put some after market ones in and the wire is already there.
