It'll be fine, I have done this job on my VN s1 before I changed tanks. There's a thread of mine around somewhere on it I from a while back I think, have a search you might get lucky

ill look up all your threads in a minute savage.
i just took the towbar off it to begin doing the fuel lines when it started pissing down. so i quickly threw the required bolts/nuts back in to hold the fuel tank. itll have to wait for another day. ill order the hose tomorrow through work and try get it done in the arvo. also sending away my memcal this week to get it tuned by greenfoam.
on the cards at the moment is a new set of plugs and leads. and to get mischa round to help me fit up this level 3 cluster.
decided to just do it even though its raining. but i havent put the towbar back on. ill leave it off and if i happen to need it i kept all the nuts and bolts to put it back on.
its a hayman reece towbar so pretty hefty weight in it.
all this dirt/dust came from on top of the tank. it was more than it looks in the pic tho
all new lines in here. so ill fill up on the way to work in the morning. and if i still smell/see fuel leaking i think im going to have to punch someone
thats all for now.
You see that big clear hose? I don't think that was ever meant to be clear!!
That's the one I got from Holden for $3.50, and it's black![]()

Dirt is awesome heavy, I must have removes 10 kilos of it since my car hasn't run but haven't been counting that in the weight loss
i like this man. im doing the same i have a manual VR lined up for $500. will have to watch what u do in the meantime and get some ideas for losing weight haha.
from what i understand the best exhaust for this combo will be a 2.5 cat back and a 2.25 tail pipe. over the diff.
correct me if im wrong.
im going to try track some down extra cheap and see what i can do with a welder at work.
also adjusted the clutch right. and i know why it doesnt feel right. as the clutch spring has snapped and isnt putting pressure on the pedal and just allowing it to drop. ordering a new clutch pedal spring tomorrow. wish me luck on fitting it tho.
Ive never fitted one in the car haydz, but i did have a look at it in the car before i took the whole thing out and it looked like a bitch of a job! I dont think the bolt will even come out becuase of a plastic duct thats in the way?

still havent tried to put the clutch spring in yet. but i do have it.
also about 2 weeks the heater stopped working as did the km reading on the cluster. then today on the way home from work. i also lost the speed. so im going to throw the level 3 in earlier than expected. still havent had time to modify the loom to make it work.
but ill get to that maybe on the weekend. till then i gotta clean out all the crap that currently resides in the back seat.
the vn now runs a level 3 cluster. was a bit of farking round but definitely worth it.
also now has a vs rear exec seat that came from holdenmandan's car. and i also have his old door trims which im going to use the speaker pods off.
as my next mission to tackle is audio. and im on the lookout for a cheap boss kit and wheel. to lose the bus wheel![]()
