thanks for the kind words, the door pods were around $70.

Sub is now installed, pumps pretty hard for a cheap system.

Finally got my p's so i went out with a mate to take some pics. enjoy!

lol that's what im getting done in the next few weeks. I hate how it looks being soo high, so some superlows all round should make it low but not too low.

After that im buying a cat-back system, then that will do for the time being.

    update update update!

It's been a while since i've posted on here, and i few things have change.

Sound system was completed with a JVC headunit with iPod connectivity etc. I blew up my old clarion amp, which caused a small fire in my car. Got another amp on warranty and just screwed it down to a thin piece of wood which is placed on the floor under the carpet. Currently in the process of making up a false floor to hide it, cause I have putting my golf clubs and bike parts in the boot with all those wires

Later down the track i installed a 2" tacho because it's fully sick to see redline brap brap brap.
Totally joking, It was a toss up between a level 2 dash from the wreckers that looked like ass and probably didn't work or a simple and clean tacho that would work. I like my choice

Exhaust system was next on the cards. A bit thanks to Wacol Muffler & brakes shop for making and installing the system. It's a 2.5" cat-back with a single super cat muffler. Has a nice tone, growls from 2'5k upwards and has little to no drone on highways. Minttt!

I also debagged the ass end, hoping to get it as well as the roof resprayed cause all the paint is starting to crack and peel

Just today i installed an LED light in my rear plate light.

Anddd gave my dash lights a make-over. It looks alright as night, not as bright as stock but it's different from factory so im pretty happy with it. The picture shows it as a purple, but they're blue LED's, probs the green mixing in.

Thought i'd throw up some shots of the car as it sits today as well.
    MONSTAAAA TRUCKENNN

It's in need of some superlows all round, so that's getting done when tax comes in, and when i save up a bit more cash. IGA wages just dont cut it (

    Thanks for looking guys!

    update time.

    few things have changed.

Got it lowered for $50 all up, i (L) wacol wreckers. rears scrub on the wheel well going up a mates driveway, and i scrape most speedbumps, woo!

Painted my rear garnish white, still dont know if i like it white or grey, time will tell.

LEd conversion throughout, blue dash, led interior light and numberplate night.

OTR super6 CAI. Sweet fa difference, looks cool though, still need to get pics.

VQ Stato rear seat, did the side bolster mod, looking pretty smick, just need some comfy front seats now and then interior is complete.

leather SCA gear boot replaced the poxxy rubber one the VN came with.

False floor installed to hide my sub, just looking to upgrade my system to two 12" subs now, get that boot shaking.

I think that's it, more pics will come, just gotta upload them off the new camera.

    Thanks for looking

    Edit:

While im here, chasers all round, yay or nay?

This is a great looking vn mate, just read your whole thread and you have done a good job. I would love a base like this to start off a street project. Personally I would stick to your mags, chasers are good for burnout comps and cheap rims for a race car, other wise they just look like a hoon wheel, but thats only my opinion. Chuck up a pic or two of it with both mags on sitting that height

Thanks man. Yeah it's pretty clean for its age, just need a respray on the roof and boot, and just general touch ups. Yeah i like my mags, was just seeing how it looked.

I wish it was always at that height, it was on a funny angle so one side was low as and the other was really high, really need to find some superlows for the rear but i need to find shocks first!

    Thanks heaps mate.

    Pretty sick update:

In this stupid, stupid rain my V8 driving experience got cancelled so i was pretty bummed. Thought id cheer myself up with a weekly wreckers run. Hopped over to wacol wreckers, was still raining but i went in, Found a nice blue VT, to my suprise it still had seats in it.

30 coin later i now have some new front seats. Only problem is that when i was fitting the seats i knocked out the back adjuster cog/spring, so the seats wont recline. Is there any way to get it back in? i spent about 2 hours swearing and throwing things wondering how to get the bastard back in!

Anyway, the seats are a little bit wet, they smell and in need of a good clean, but at least they have no rips and the map pockets are still intact. Since they dont match the rear seat colour wise im leaving my throwovers on them, or ill buy some new HSV throwovers as these are a bit faded. Still pretty stoked that i got these seats for soo cheap.

    picssssssssssssssssssssss

pic of OTR CAI installed, been in for a while, little whistle but that's about it.

and another pic of the car.

Next is personalised plates i think, Looking at either [300PER] or [CPR311] or even [380OVN]

Looks good, I much prefer the multi spoke wheels over those black shadow chromes rims.................Might have been mentioned already, but may be worth while color coding the rocker panel..

    pretty sick update once again.

Ditched the VT - VQ unmatched interior, picked up F&R VN Calais seats for $60, with no rips, no marks. There's some stitching that has come out on one of the rear headrests, but that will be fixed up.

Next on the cards is some minor velour detailing on the doors in creme to suit the theme i'm going for, and also going to try and retrim the gloveboxes and centre console in creme velour. just something different

Also, picked up some white venetians, they were supposed to go into my mates VS, but they were advertised wrong and actually fit the VN, so i gave him the $100 he payed for them and now i have them. Now i just have to keep an eye out for some VS ones for him haha.

They dont really stand out too much as i have dark tint, but i love the look of them.

I will be getting more pisc up as i wanna have a little photoshoot at a spot i've been scoping for a while.

Next on the cards is a VP international/SV90 boot lip, and possibly a VQ statesman rear bumper and garnish. Give it a different style.

update once again. Starting creating my interior, couldnt find any tan velour so i've now opted for a simple black/grey theme.

The top the the dash will be painted in dark grey, and the glovebox/centre console area will be trimmed in black velour. This will also wrap to the doors and im looking at covering the doors too, but that wont happen until i install elec windows.

and just a pic i took a while ago that i really liked

slight overspray as you can see, but looks the good

here's the progess soo far, the door inserts are a bit didgy as i had to drill holes, so they might be a little bit out, but for a first go i dont mind it

    Ok, pretty lengthy update here.

Went out one night and decided to do a little photoshoot cause i don't have too many good pics of my car. found a nice little spot near where i live and they turned out awesome!

After searching for around 6 months i finally found a genuine boot lip spoiler. Went and picked it up for $60 and bought a spare boot to mount it to. The reasoning behind getting a whole new boot is that the one i have is screwed. The paint is flaking and just in a bad condition, and I can get this spare sprayed and still have my car to drive around.

The car then recieved a towball so I can carry my downhill bike to races without taking it apart. Just makes things alot easier.

Along came C4C8 and i got the car nice and clean and presentable for it. Had heaps of fun thrashing it around the track, but i may be a bit closer to a new clutch! hehe.

Also, a quick video of me racing FOG61 down the start finish straight of QLD raceway.

Cruise for Charity 8 vid 2 - YouTube

So there you go, mega update.

Hoping to get this boot on asap, just need to get it painted.

Wow it's been a while since i've been on here! Car has come a long way. I'll let some pics tell the story.

Found a entire VP calais international interior for dirt cheap, and i mean dirt cheap! the only thing that was missing was the front seats, no worries!

    Modding started

First stage of my centre console.

Retrimming the door cards, the stock beige material had big black stains that would not come out, so to add a bit more contrast i covered them in black velour.

Got some mint HDT headlight covers off my best mate for my bday, loved the look if these since i first saw them.

Dash was painted black to match the calais international theme, and the final stage of my modified auto calais centre console. Covered the plastic in black velour, black ash tray and aftermarket gear boot.

Then for possibly the biggest bargain i've ever got. Found these VS senator DEVONISH seats on ebay, bought them for $200. They're very work and the drivers side is severely torn, but all the bolsters are in top knick, and im planning to get both seats retrimmed in the near future, so it worked out perfectly. they are soo comfy!!!

    interior still being done.
    Bought a HSV dash

Rear door cards and elec windows installed, all wired up and working now, just need to buy some front regs.

    JDM as F%ck gearknob

    plans for the near future.

    Trip computer setup.
powdercoat my rims in gloss black.
Paint and install SV90 boot lip.
retrim seats in black and beige leather
Install front window regs and door cards.

    plans for eternity
    4.2L turbo 6
    coilover fronts.
    big brake kit
    LSD
    bushes all replaced
    tubbed rear.

She's come a long way, stay tuned for more updates
