    Thumbs up My VP V6 3.8L turbo, 374rwhp on 20's

    hey this is my VP had it for 6 years, was my first car

    Name: Matt
    Build period: hasnt stopped yet
    Cost: don't want to add it up

    ENGINE / FUEL / TURBO
    the motor is fully rebuilt and dynamically balanced with an acl race series rebuild kit
    has all crow valve and timing gear ( valve springs, retainers, lifters, 2mm longer pushrods, timing chain, valves)
    tighe 1081 cam
    new genuine crankshaft
    ported heads and inlet
    v8 throttle body
    60lb siemens injectors
    3 bar Motec map sensor
    msd coils
    custom made 10mm topgun leads as coil packs are relocated
    walbro gss341 pump
    turbosmart fuel reg
    twin turbosmart 38mm wastgates
    turbosmart BOV
    Garrett GT3582
    Haltech E6GMX
    Cometic MLS head gaskets
    Alloy Radiator

    old pics with ebay turbo fitted (lasted nearly a year making 308rwhp before the turbo blew up haha)







    Now making 373rwhp at 14psi with the gt3582 fitted





    EXHAUST

    Custom stainless steel tuned length manifolds
    3 inch stainless dump into 3" lukey exhaust


    TRANSMISSION / TAILSHAFT / DIFF

    rebuilt t5, new syncro's bearings gaskets and crygenically treated gearset
    NPC 10.5 inch billet clutch and modified HD BA Mk1 XR6-T clutch kit
    rebuilt standard tailshaft
    3.08 LSD from a VN SS

    BRAKES

    330mm twin piston upfront
    315mm single piston rears
    braided brake lines





    WHEELS / SUSPENSION

    20" Starcorps
    kingspring ultralows all round
    monroe lowered stturs and shocks
    nolathane bushes
    nolathane adjustable panhard rod

    INTERIOR

    Saas wheel
    Saas racing seats
    statesman inner door handles (chrome)
    custom gauge pod under radio
    red backlit gauge cluster

    Looks excellent Mate! How did you do the custom bit under the radio! i wanna do something similar but havent worked out a way yet.
    Also do you have a pic of your red backlit dash cluster? im just about to buy some red bulbs and would love to see how it looks!

    But all in all great look car dude!

    i actually have a red cluster, not just bulbs in behind, i'll try to get some pics up for you.

    the area under the radio i cut it all out then made up a little frame with 3mm mdf then just bogged it up

    Awseme i was looking at a red cluster on ebay but i think im ganna go the white with the red bulbs.. i seen 1 it was like the new hsv clusters for a vn it was awseme! but had no where to buy it..

    well the car should hopefully be back on the road in the next week or so. havnt driven it since november when i managed to blow both head gaskets, (getting a heap of water in the sump) and bending the exhaust valves. has been assembled for a bit but had been tryin to find a miss and we have traced it down to 3 lifters not pumping down and in turn holding the valves open, anyhoo, i have ordered new lifters and it should be going again soon ! this it what i have been rolling in for the last 6 months lol

    Looks insaine man n better yet its red haha did u manage 2 find that red cluster pic of urs? wat globes u got in ur headlights they look nice n white i gotta change mine in the VP

    the headlights and driving lights are HID's

    completely forgot about getting a pic of the cluster, went down to the shop to see the car today too

    how r the reflectors holding up with heat?? wat HID kit did u get??
