well shes alive .but i sort of killed it temporay on the way home.leads on the turbo side are arcing out again and it dropped a cylinder or 2 limped home at 100kmh LOL was doing it before the swap over when it was in the wagon. seems it has now finished off the balancer rubber shes clanking away like mad so some new leads in tomorrow slap on the spare balancer and fit the surge tank and she will be ready for boosting hard

damn mate that sucks, we had a VC 202 stolen a few years back that they tried to burn. luckily for us it was only minor fire damage in the bay.

did you fit a new pressure valve in your trans? might pay to fit some high quality braided lines if you have upped the line pressure to prevent this happening again.

seems to be a common theme. i had a pin prick hole in a trans cooler line a few years back, fortunatly for me it blew straight onto the hot exhaust pipe under the car and turned to smoke instantly so no fire. looked like total engine failure, entire rear of car was surrounded by white smoke

oh yeah didnt just fix the auto today been refreshing the VB turbo's engine. so far we found 0 damage after it serverly overheated on the skidpan after blowing a welsh plug.bearings are fine and reused pistons all cleaned reused didnt even pop them out the block rings are good checked for broken ones with feeler gauges headgaskets perfectly intact.only replacements have been the cam bearings due to the new turbo cam going in should net us another 10-20% more hp .heads are ready to strip for port matching and valve lap job should be all back in 1 peice later in the week.and the big beast for the HQ wagon build 454 cubes of big block POWA
