    Default MY NEW VP Project

    Name: luke
    Model: 1992 VP Berlina LX

    Paint: Pear Blue.

    Bodykit: stock

    Engine Type: 3.8ltr V6 Aloy

    Engine Mods: Stock.

    Power: untested

    Exhaust: Not sure definetly sports sounds alright

    Gearbox: Auto.

    Diff: Stock.

    Brakes: Stock.

    Suspension: not sure yet havnt inspected lowerd not sure how much

    Wheels/Tyres: 17' VT club-sport.

    Interior: Stock fully optioned- level 3 dash

    Other Mods:
    - Dark Tint (not sure on %)
    - Lowered.
    - BLUE LED's modded into stranded footwell lights
    - BLUE LED parkers
    -Xenon White/Blue Headlights
    -BLUE LED Auto selector

    Stereo(have not changed anything myself yet):
    pioneer head unit, shitty one
    Boss 250W speakers in parcel shelf
    Stock Dash speakers.

    Build Period: Last month and on

    Cost: 3 K so far including the car

    Future Mods:
    - Bigger, Better Wheels.

    - Blue LED cluster Lights.

    - New Interior

    - Get some subs happening, double up on amps, new dash speakers

    - new head unit

    - Custom Pearl Blue Dash Face Silver HSV logo and Silver txt to go with the LED's

    - lots more that i have prob not mentioned

    -Any Ideas would be great thanks guys

    looks good mate, but I'll save you the hassle of being pulled over, ditch the blue LED parkers, they are a no no. Matt

    lol nah man its not like i drive around with the parker lights on lol they havnt pulled me up yet(Y)

    Nah, mate. Just personalise it, make it your own. Check out some of the other guys threads for some ideas. I love VP's they arent much different to the VN but i just like the VP more for some reason.

    What have you got planned for it? What are your ideas?

    FML - So......found out today that whoever installed the power windows before i purchased the ****ed in the head......there was a dumy 20amp fuse in the power windows fuse input with no prongs in it.......i found the it has been wired to the back of my interior light fuse witch can only normaly hold 10amp no wonder the basted blew

    yea i intend too and i agree but have no idea why
    i was thinking about putting a vy clubsport kit on it or to leave it stock?
    not many performance mods since i cant caus i get pulled over all the time bloody p plates
    some new wheels
    just got a econd job so hopefully can get some more money flowing to help out with the car

    Berlina LXs come standard with 4 power windows, so they wouldn't have been installed by anyone other than a holden worker

    They pop fuses often due to faulty switches, sounds like someone butchered everything else just when they had a ****ed switch.

    Thanks for the info Stealthy

    hmmm well i got a problem because there all linked to that fuse something has happened with my interior lighting

    the dome light, ignition light and courtesy light are not working as normal........... but if i use a temporary earth from the door on my dome light all lights start to work

    but i cant just re earth it because it will be on 24/7!

    any ideas?

    bugger, maybe try repco or something and get a haynes or gregory's work shop maunal, they are worth their weight in gold.

    Had to replace alternator today as the old one packed up $70 from the wrecker good as gold
    going to refurbish the old one for next time incase the problem happens again

    Blue parkers are for homos... Just get white ones if anything... (so they arent so yellow)

    My suggestion - lower it a lot

    lol i no they where cheep so i just put em in lol
    yea i want white ones prob get some soon
    ive already got xenon headlights there not yellow at all

    yea dunno bout that yet...

    One thing ive learnt the hard way - dont buy things or use things just cause they are cheap. It comes back to bite you in the ass BIG TIME.... Its better to wait and spend the extra cash

    picked up a kenwood sub today for free but its only 600w but it was free lol
    what sort of amp should i run off it ? and my speakers?

    - pioneer DEH-5250SD head unit
    - Fusion 280W 70WRMS splits in/on parcell shelf custom install
    - pioneer 180w speakers in the dash
    - Fusion 900w mono block
    - Audiobahn dual 12 inch subs in audiobahn enclosure not sure on rating but they pump!
    - pioneer 2ch amp 150WRMS(powering the splits

    had to remove most today because of a boot leak but will put everything after work tonight
