Hey thought id post up my "work in progress" daily.
Bought it back in 2007 I think it was with 180k's on it, mint as can possibly be. Paid NZ$1800 for it.
Specs when bought:
Engine: Series 1 V6
Gearbox: Auto
Everything else: Stock!
First thing I really did to it was manual conversion. Picked up a series 1 engine+box in good nick for cheap cheap and swapped it over. This is the first car I've really done anything to so learning everything along the way.
Specs now:
Engine: Series 1 V6
Exhaust: 2.5" to 3" tip
Gearbox: T5
Suspension: Monroe GT Sports all around, Nolathene bushes on front.
Brakes: Upgraded to V8 disks on front.
Stereo: Pioneer Head Unit, Alpine component in front doors, Kenwood 6x9's in parcel tray, Rockford P2002 and P3001 + 1 Cheapo Amps. 2x Rockford 10" Punch subs in boot.
Done a bit of retrimming, new roof lining, center console in black vinyl, custom made speaker pod for door. Have SS kit to go on it but may put group a front bar on, still tossing up the idea. Also upgraded to Level 3 dash cluster.
Future Plans:
- Twin throttle body currently in the making
- High Ratio Rockers (once manifold is finished)
- 3.9 Diff gears
- VE SS 18's wheels (maybe in black)
- Paint (waiting on weather to come right, hopefully a month or two away)

SKIDS FOR KIDS... IM A KID AND I WANNA SEE A SKID
Painting started today, car stripped, boot sanded. Will carry on after xmas and get some pics up. Suprised at how smooth the car is under the shitty clearcoat. And the thing is 100% rust free which is always a plus
Pics, dunno why but they came up very green. Was a bright day and my backyard is borderline jungle
Copy and pasted updates from another forum
More sanding and started bogging today. Got most of it on and some sanded. Only stone chips and one dent so pretty easy, but like everything im learning so it takes 20 times as long. Least the weather was nice, ran outta beer though so given up for today
Bit of rustkill where i hit metal and over my dent bog
As she sits right now
The shed
Started stripping bonnet and roof, will leave it alone for now though cos its pretty boring haha.
Tomorrow will finish the boging, sand it back, go over the front gaurds again and a few other little bits then I think im happy to put primer on them (but wont until door shuts are done). Friday will do door shuts, not too fussy about there so just a quick scuff to get the paint on.
Todays progress, not bad for a first timer I dont think!
Tomorrow is another day....siiigh
More progress, painting has started. Weather is being really shit though so pretty slow progress until it comes right. Few pics
Pretty blue

Trolley strips are stayin on at this point. I thought about takin them off after a test patch with primer I dont think that paint coming off will be an issue. Apparently there is a primer out there for them if it comes to it. Gear shift was made by local uphoster, really nice guy but too far away for you haha. Cost me 60 bucks I think
Right im bored so heres a few more pics, ive started colour coats now and forgot to take pics of primer but oh well. heres everything i have atm tho. colour pics tomorrow

Colour (altho pics dont show it very well for some reason, may be the bourbon consumed while photographing
And water that gets in when there is no boot seal or rear quarter windows when wet sanding
