Hey Everyone I Have Just Bought A 1991 VN Calais V6 3.8L And I Want To Do A Complete Rebuild And Slap In A Twin Turbo Setup So I Thought This Would Be The Best Place To Show My Progress And Get Help Obtaining Parts. This Will Be A Photo Blog So Is I'm In The Wrong Section I Apologize In Advance.

Ok Getting A VR In A Week For Spares Just Wondering If Windows Are The Same Size And What The Main Differences Are Between The Cars?

I think the door glass is the same but the opera glass is a slightly different shape, other differences are electronically controlled trans and different exhaust mounting points at the back but they are very similar under the skin except for a few running changes like plug shapes and cosmetic appearance inside and out. Damn i want your gear knob i been chasing 1 for ages lol

Im Having Some Trouble Starting It Currently... It Kicks Over Starts Then Dies Like Straight Away? If I Hold Half Throttle Open While Starting Revs Get To 2k But Drops To Stall Over A Span Of Roughly 10 Seconds! Any Ideas? I Will Put A Video Up Next Week Sometime.

Just Took Out The Fuel Tank... It Was REALLLY Dented Up... I Guess It Was Sitting On It Before I Got It As It Has No Diff... New One Comes In A Week.. And The Stones.... lol If I Rake I Get erm MORE STONES lol Its About A Meter Deep Of That Shiz Lol.

Yea When Ive Got it Running and all straight I'm going paint it black with dark gray bottom with a vampire finch on the rear quarter panel on each side... but that's a ways to go yet ill do a photo shop of how i want it tomorra..

looks good mate i got a vn berlina manual v6 i love it i guy that i was speaking to at a exhaust shop a couple of days ago was trying to sell me his twin turbo setup he said he got 220rwkw with no tune and only running on 7psi lol he wants $5000 for the whole kit if ur interested the turbos are gt40s off a nissan r32 gtr. does urs have like elec windows and cruze im currently tryin to work out how to run my cruise with my manual box lol

im from sa?? lol got the diff and new fuel tank in. started it for the first time so cheers for the advice. na i got the car from a wreckers a week after they flipped in on its side to get the diff hence the dents and broken windows nut i have many spares so i dont really care =D . will post some pics plus a start up vid on tuesday after i get a new battery and terminals . the idiots at the wreckers cut the rear brake line rather than unbolting it so have to make up a small custom line=P . cheers everyone for your support and if you have any ideas dont hesitate to mention them as this is my first holden project, last one was an e30 bmw was nice but i love my holdens!!!!!

Since there was no Diff and resting on the sills, check the drivers side sill pannel under the car, because thats where the fuel lines run, and it its crushed one it will cause all sorts of problems, spesh if you wanna turbo it, and there isnt much fuel getting up there.

You know the moulds wont line up if you use VP Calais wheel spats? Unless your planning on changing all the moulds and bumpers to VP ones...

all the fuel lines are fine just the brakes then i can get it off defect then start turbo work.

i just dont get it!!! new battery, terminals, starter motor, altinator and it wont start... it tryes to kick over then nothing... it started a few days ago no worries and i havent changed anything!!? any ideas?
