its far from clean haha but x1000 from when i picked it up from the country town for $1000

plans are tighen suspension cause most is stuffed and spool kills old rubber bushers
for now just some hubcaps slam down the front, quick respray and some panels replaced, paint the window surrounds, 20% tint, fit the 85lt tank and another engine and worked trans

its just a daily/thrasher to get around in while i work on the ss

haha yea vns ar prety leathal when wen just a stocker..

few pics from my latest project for the daily.

i had a 85lt powercoated mercury silver and gloss black straps but unded up finding out the straps were for a irs car so they were useless LOL i ended up making my own outa alloy strips and bent them up to fit by hand. was a 2day ordeal and all hoses were brand new due to the shitty orginal ones bein spilt so everything is done perfect and will never leak again.. happy with results and learnt how to install the fuel pump while doin this.

    few pics of the progess.

thought id throw an update on the trusty vn!

been cutting and patching up some rush around the windows and boot seals, all front end bushings have been replaced with nolathane gear. ive got some custom made 8kg springs comming which are 65mm lower than standard which should have it stiff and will put the wheel in the guard a tiny bit. ive serviced the car including trans. also fitted au twin thermos and shes running on vy ss 18s now

    Looks sweet, nice daily man.

The front passenger door looks a bit off though.

What the deal with the relocation kit for the swaybar? Just moves the link mount points?

yea the passengers door is from a vp hence the colour difference but doesn't bother me atm cause ill sort paint out myself at end of the year... and nolathane do a kit that changes the setup so the swaybar links go from the control arm to the sway bar meaning the links are shorter and i guess don't flex as much as being on the strut itself.

u can see from pics rust problem hahaha - ill be finishing it off soon and painting it - i rolled the rear guards and redid rear brakes on the weekend

How did you go with rust under the window? I had to take the rear window out of my VN to clean the rust up.

The stuff I used to treat the rust was fail - the glass came unstuck and had to get it glued back in a few months ago. The window bloke said it was a bad surface and was never going to hold. So he took the glasss out and cleaned up the edge for me. BUT I'll need to get the window out again next year for the full re spray.

Havnt had troubles withe the lights yet.. all my cars have had a bit of tint on them mind you i stay well clear of police so they dont get much of a chance.
the HID kit cost me around the $80 mark cause i had a spare loom but i can get them cheap and there good quality hence why i wanna distribute them privatly.
i got plenty of pics of em mate they put normal globes and even aftermarket phillips globes to shame!!

and azk i think the straps were like 5mm thick or so, seem to be holding up well after the bends i made
