    Talking '89 vn bt1 5l

    Model: 1989 VN 5L ex police
    Name: Ash
    Colour: Metallic Dark Blue
    Engine: 5L V8
    Mods: C.O.M.E racing cam, Ported-Polished Heads, Ported inlet manifold, Flat top pistons, C.O.M.E ECU. Full rebuild in 2010. Gas conversion with Hi CFm gas Mixer, K&N air filter.
    Exhaust: Extractors, 2 3/4' Catback
    Gearbox: T700, stage 2 shift kit. 2500rpm High Stall
    Diff: Stock LSD
    Suspension: superlows with pedders set up
    Wheels: chromed pursuit wheels
    Power: 195HP (hope to get this up a fair bit)

    Wishlist: VZ SSz 18" wheels, full suspension upgrade, 3.7 diff gears

    I actually kind of like the chrome. Needs a bit of a clean inside, and I'd ditch the dash mat and think about a different air intake set-up, but all up I like it a lot. Nice work man

    yeah didn't put in much effort with the photos of the inside and engine bay
    definitely in the market for a new steering wheel maybe even a stockie

    any good ones you've seen in VNs?

    just tryna keep it clean, taken out the gay voltage gauge that was in it when i bought it, and next to go is the super lame neon in the boot to light up the dodgy sound system i replaced.

    yeah thats at the wheels

    i'm thinking its maybe losing a bit as im running it on gas as well as petrol

    Yeah, mine made over 200rwhp with only exhaust and tune so theres somthing up there! Theres alot to be had in a tune if you havent got one yet!

    Oh and are those wipers the modern style ones you get from supercheap for like $35 a single blade?

    I thought they were just standard, could be wrong.
    I didn't put them on there

    Yeah yet to get a tune
    It's still a work in progress gotta get it checked out
    Probably by someone who knows the engine well

    If anyones in wa and knows anyone around wangara Balcatta area
    Would be good to hear.
