looks like a whole lotta work for the money. you might have a look around for one with a good shell maybe a toasted engine, easier to swap the engine than do all that body work... you should see the vp i bought off the JC fourms for $300. spotless body all needed was tune up and some wear and tear items... but if your game and you wanna get your hands dirty (and learn some stuff in the process) good on you... have a go. also i like "future mods" paint touch up lol thats putting it generously. if you have any paint Q's hit up the panel and paint section or pm me if you like. (im a painter)

Every car I've bought has always needed work, and I love it.

Other than the indicator I have all th parts to get the car roadworthied. I have a spare vacationer that's totaled except the front and rear bumpers and the 2 doors are spotless.

Actually I do have a few questions about pannel work though.

With your battery problem, check that the boot light is not on all the time. It happened with my car and it is common apparently.

I have no boot light :S

I think there might be a bare wire somewhere thats touching something.

As for scrapping it, well, I don't think that's going to happen any time soon. I have way to much time on my hands.

it'd be a good learning expirence to fix it all, but it's going to be a hassle. Me and my mates have bought plenty of vn/vp vr's etc for burnout cars. We bought a vn that didnt have a scratch on it. Ran better then most of my mates cars and we paid 200 bucks. Only thing was that it was unregisted. just keep an eye out on classifieds, ebay, gumtree and what ever else qld has. Also We have found a few at intersections, like parked on the hill being displayed. So just keep your eye out. Could try the newspapers aswell

yeah mate $500 is pretty crazy...my girlfriends mum sold her vp commodore, perfect paint, perfect engine, clean inside and low km's for $500 with full service history, she had more on it but people just arnt really after vp's these days and struggled to get what it was worth, and if you look around you can find some pretty nice ones for cheap, but anyways yeah looks like this could be a good project
