Brought from Reg Hunt Motors on the 19/6/1990 and has a service history up until 1999 at 204298ks.
From the info in the books and what the last owner told me im the 3rd owner.

So i brought this car on the 20/7/2011 after selling my VQ stato. It started out 99% stock and had done about 310000ks only mods were a after market stereo, areo grill and some after market hubcaps.

Paid $1800 for it with 11 months rego and needed nothing for a rwc.

It didn't stay stock for long...

Got a sound system today a Eonon headunit/dvd player with touch pop out screen a brand new Rockford Fosgate Punch P3 15inch sub and pioneer 220w 4-ways 6inchs all for a low price of $200.

20s a bit to much the hubcaps are crap but its got 14s under them so ill leave them on for now anyways plans are black bumpers lowered on silver chasers its going in for a roady on the weekend hopefully pass then bring on the mods.

What exactly is a BT1 mock up? I think someone else has one on here too.

I know there are a few minor differences between the normal car and a BT1, but why would you bother?


Not having a go at you, I own a 5L VN BT1 and just don't get it.

Im not 100% sure why its called bt1 mock up but that's just what people call that look.

BT1 is ex cop cars - thrashed chasers generally.

Throw rocks at your bonnet, smash the underbody with a hammer and drill some holes in your dash and it will start looking like a BT1.

Yeah that's the part I didn't get, why would you want to make it look like an ex cop car. From the outside my one just looks like a VN executive.

How do you achieve the "Bt1 look"? Not being a smartass but am unsure as to what your going to do to get this look...

EDIT: Just realised you edited your earlier posts and seem to have abandoned the BT1 mock up?

Yes i edited it to avoid anymore confusion Google Vn BT1 and you get heaps of white/yellow Vn's with black bumpers lowered on silver chasers that's the look im going for and i thought when i said BT1 that people would have thought of what most BT1's look like.

For me as I own a Mock up Bt1, I just wanted a standard looking car that would not attract attention but with larger wheels to enable a decent set of tyres and better suspension that just happens to look like an ex cop car..........
I dont need flash mags and I am not interested in owning a V8...
I can never understand why anyone would want to buy a ex cop car
People have different tastes and make there own choices, hey I would not want to live in Newy or own a HB torana but that your choice...

Just do want to want to do mate
If you want to make it look like a bt1, go for it or want to put some nice alloys on your existing look berlina go for, its your choice.

It dosen't mate what other people think and there are plenty of people that are quick to knock other peoples ideas etc..

I wasn't having a go at the bloke, or you for that matter. I didn't even know who it was who had the other one, just remembered seeing one on here. I only bought my one cause it was a cheap 5L and I only want the driveline out of it.

Funnily enough, I'm not fussed about what you do to your car or if you want to live here or own a Torana.

Yep its a very clean start no mods what so ever and will keep yous updated.

Put in a Nolathane linkpin kit today really worth the $55 no more knocking and a lot more stiff.

No update yet been flat out with my new job working at a wreckers hopefully some updates soon but im really starting to look into putting a ecotec in it if anyone has any info that would be good.

Got another vn today this time a Calais from work cost me $800 but has had about $2500 grand spend on it in june it has a full lukey exhaust system short shocks and lowerd springs pedders panhard rod and lots more hopefully all going into the berlina soon.
