VP Calais 5.0L

So I bought this VP Calais 5.0L and paid $1800. Had to go for a long bus and train ride to get it xD We drove it away and it was fine (Except that it needed a new belt) and got to near Ballarat at about 11 at night and the battery died/the gas froze over) (Plus we couldn't get it to run on petrol, we were gunna take a look at home) We had to get emergency RAA to tow us into Ballarat (Few hundred $$$ :S) and had to stay at a motel for the night. Next day we had to catch a bus back to our town coz there was no way my car was going anywhere. RAA called few days later and told me it needed a new battery, starter motor, fuel pump, belts and they couldnt figure out what was wrong with the gas.. but eh bout the gas might rip it out later anyway. But.. they quoted me round $1000 to fix! Im like nah thanks coz we can do it ourselves. Now the problem is getting the non runnning car home! ): So atm it is stuck 3 hours away from me. ): Was my birthday present and first v8 ):
It has 255kms

Anyway. Once I finally get it home. These are some future mods I plan to do with it..
* Lower - Ultra low fronts and compressed ultralow springs (yeee i know but i avoid bumps and so on lol)
* Needs a new bonnet/grille/bumper maybe or might fix (pics)/boot maybe or paint
* Paint it eventually)
* Stereo
* Thinking of getting white walls for it.. maybe.
* Exhaust. Nice big one. (:
* Get whatever the darkest legal tint is in SA
* Cold air intake
* New steering wheel (I don't like sports ones doesn't suit it at all..)

Cant think of anything else??? Hmm... Not sure about the engine. Might one day do some stuff.. but that's later on (:

From what I've heard/read the inspection when transferring interstate rego to SA is just a VIN and numbers check, I don't think it's the same inspection as though you were defected. You should probs give the lonsdale inspection place a call and see what the check consists of, then you won't have to change parts over twice.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what I could do with my engine? Mods etc..?
