Alright guys, picked this up off an old bloke for 3500 over the weekend, just planning to clean her up a bit and use it as a nice daily.
As for the attention areas, the front drivers door has had a brake in attempt so it has a bit of rust around it, the pain is cracking in a few places (spoiler and front bar) and theres a few baby scratches around her.
Things that need to be done:
- Refit interior clips/plastic trims as some of them have fallen off
- Fix electrical issues (Horn not working and wire up sound system)
- M/Cyl has died so needs to be replaced
- Try and find a standard air box to get rid of the pod
- Fit all new brakes (Discs and pads)
- Put the new rims on.
- Take the modern ss badges off.
it also had a stage 1 chip master memcal ? but I've swapped it out for a standard one.Anyway... Here she is.

looks like a nice ss. do you know if those leather seats are standard for that or are they out of something else?

Get some amourall leather wipes on them seats they will look mint and paint them engine covers phionix red you can get the cans custom made from auto 1 it will look less ricer. and loose the vx ss badge

Haha yeah i dont know why anybody would put those ss badges on there they look fowl, not sure what i will do with the rocker covers though i dont mind them in the white but i might put the stripes in red and the injected 5000 lettering every1 has colour matching its nice to have something to brake up the car, i have some fr17 simmons rims coming from over east to put on this just have to wrap them in some rubber.
and yeah charged i have some leather treatment stuff i got from work along with a shit load of meguires and mothers products to make her shiny again![]()

Haha yeah i forgot to add that on, its already been done lol, did the master cylinder yesterday bled the brakes...she actually stops now which is always a bonus...but now know i need to give the gearbox a bit of love, going to chuck some new fluid and a filter kit and hope it cheers it up, most of the issues with this car are just from not being used though. also have my slotted rotors coming in next week and then the week after my new rims so when i get them in ill take some happy snaps. just been busy changing all the broken bits of the interior out with the boot load of spares ive got![]()

and yeah charged cant wait for the rims to get here probably isn't going to be till week after this one but that gives me time to clean up the rough edges of the car.
im trying to find a vs clubsport airbox for the car as i think they look ALOT better than the vn vp ones but its proving a challenge :P
Nice car mate. Definatly a good deal. Do you have the rear lip for it. I noticed it wasnt on the rear bar
unfortuantely no dont have the rear lip, also trying to source one of those as its the only bit missing from the kit, i believe the rear bumper is a calais rear bumper so i will have to try find the right one and get the lip to chuck on that which hopefully wont be too hard, i know rare spares makes 3 pieces bumpers but not sure i want to forkout the almost $600 for that lol
Sooooo seeing as its the weekend, i decided to get some goodies to bring the brakes up to standard... also bought a filter kid and fluid to give the gearbox some love hopefully have it all done by the end of the weekend.
turns out my dad also has a rear S pack bumper out back so ill be painting that up and using it to get rid of the calais bumper all i need now is the rear trim piece for the headlining and the bottom ss lip
OH alsomy rims came into the state last week so ill be grabbing them on Wednesday hopefully

Brakes got done over the weekend, also got my rims in today my brother kindly went and picked them up for me.
now to save up for some shoes for them....
unfortunately my intank pump has shat itself i also need a proper hose for between the tank and pump luckily i work at an auto store , picked up an intank pump new fuel filter and a new uni joint for her, also picked up a rear lip for the ss kit and have an airbox and otr on the way so she's coming together hopefully go in for rego late next week, ill post up some pics soon.

calais seats look completely different, most VP clubbies and senator's didn't get full leather buckets either so it could be VR/S seats
nice find.. how did the leather wipes turn out on the seats? Been thinking about wiping them down with some leather stuff?

yeah found out they're sv 5000 seats lol, the leather stuff didnt do much, the seats really do need a retrim lol or a professional job they're a bit tired.
waiting for a day off so i can fix this damn pump got all the parts sitting ready to go but dont get a day off until tuesday haha good spot ducker :P knew i forgot to do something on the weekend :P
Soooo...i know its been a while but i thought it was time for an update.
The ss has had the brake upgrade done, i did have to replace the fuel pump,electric mirrors and find a way to temporarily fix the rear roof trim up so all that was done then the car was taken down to a local inspection center to which it "passed" only for me to be told....that the car is registered on the stolen vehicles list...what a joy that was to hear.
so for the next hour i was frantically taking everything i had myself put on the car. (wheels, high flow airbox, genuine group a steering wheel, my stereo head unit)
i even considered swapping the leather interior out and putting dads in it :P
i then got a phone call from my dad 2 hours later saying that they had called me and it was all cleared up and that i need to go collect the paper...so for the next hour i put everything back on the car :P went and got my rego papers and rego'd the car...
story behind that is...before the guy's son i bought the car off had owned the car it was his friends who had it in with the cops so they reported his car as a stolen vehicle so that every time they saw him they would pull him over and go over the whole car.....aaaand before that it was a drug runners car which used to leave cops for dead in 2007 apparently unfortunately does not have the same engine as that anymore lol. that engine was built by southside engine center as there are stickers all over the engine bay from it.
BUT for now, im accumulating parts to rebuild the back end, as its been lowered without and adjustable panhard rod, the shocks in it are standard and not lowered ones and the top trailing arms are bent. it's also missing its lsd which id like to replace. hopefully will do this soon as the diff doesnt line up properly so i dont have much room left on the left side between guard and wheel and there's no way im going to be fitting my simmons under them.
Plans for her are a t56 and turbo 304 running around 9 lbs simple single turbo setup with a TO4Z which should get me around 350 rwhp and a nice 12 second pass which is plenty for me .
