1992 Holden VP Calais International (black)

I've just had a long trip up to Echuca from Geelong trade my dirt bike (that I said never I'd get rid of) for the following
1992 Holden VP Calais International
- Crane 284 Cam
- Crane heavy duty springs
- Torque Power Dual Plane Manifold
- 1000cfm 4 Barrel Throttle Body
- Ported and polished heads
- 3000 rpm Dominator stall
- 4.11 LSD Diff
- Twin 2.5" Exhaust (sounds GREAT)
- Hi-Tech Headers
- 18" Genuine HSV Grange Wheels
- HDT Cold Air tray

I had it out for a quick run down the court and back and it sounds great with a nice lumpy cam but I didn't stall it up as it hasn't got much fuel in it, it's so low that it scraps getting out of my driveway. It will be getting put to the back of the shed till I get my VS V8 ute on the road in the next couple of weeks by then I should have most of the parts I need to get it through it's RWC. I brought it so the wife can use it as a round town car instead of my GTS and once it's on the road I'll throw a stroker in it with some bigger injectors.

Here is a quick list of a few thing I know it will need
- Needs a roof lining (it's missing altogether)
- Roof and spoiler needs a respray (bit faded)
- Drivers seat need some material replaced (leather bolster is cracked)
- Rims have some small marks (might just get them blasted and powder coated)
- It's way to low as the previous owner had bags in it and wanted the same look but there's way it will pass RWC
- Cracked windscreen
- Bonnet has some holes from the gauges (get a new one and have it resprayed with the rest of the stuff)

have the tail lights been tinted, or are they like that? Interior needs a little bit of TLC, are you replacing the dash or fitting more gauges where they were before? I cant listen to the vids as my speakers are rat shit. Looks the goods man.

1. Replacing the tail lights with originals.
2. Interior pretty good but does need the dash replaced and drivers seat re-trimmed .
3. Need to get rid of my other cars to mow my lawn LOL.

Well the ute is off to the panel shop to get a new rad support, battery tray and the skirts and rails are getting a slight pull, so it should be back on Monday-

then next two weeks I'll be selling her off to clear some room and start on the International.

yeah they come with S pak or SS tail lights (red pin stripe) This is a tufff car man Im very enyious of you and can't believe its not bagged thats so low!!!

If you need any info of these models holla I know as much as Stelthy not that you can find him these days.

Cheers Ducker, It used to be bagged but previous owner sold the bags and compressor before I brought it.
I just need to find some tail lights now, proving to be a bit of a head ache?

Utes nearly done was offered $6000 so that will give me the money to get the Calais on the road-

just paint the pin stripes on man. heaps are doing them white and somehow getting them re-chromed as well

I might have found a guy that wants to swap his standard VP tail lights for my (butchered) tinted ones, so I'll take them to my panel beater and see what he says.

Small update
- I've got the alloy radiator installed
- Twin thermos should be here on Friday
- I've sent the air intake tray of to the fiberglass workshop (they're taking out the old school fan hump and top water hose hump for more air flow)
- Replaced the light dimmer switch as it was broken
- Standard Executive tail lights and garnish on the way (need to get them pin striped)
Had a couple of mates tell me that I should keep / return it to original but the only things I'm going to modify are bolt-on so it can be put back at anytime in the future.

Just fitted up the new twin thermos, alloy radiator, got the new and improved air intake (got all the humps taken out and now it's flat) back but it still needs a coat of paint and some new standard tail lights (need to organise some red pin stripes).

Sorry no updates she been hiding down the back of the shed since I've done the top end, oil pump, timing chain and blew the diff in my GTS not to mention all the issues with the wife Euro shiz box Passat.
I got the thermos of a guy on eBay, I'll see if I can get the link for you.
