1992 HSV VP GTS

A restoration project featuring HSV’s resurrection of the GTS badge, the VP GTS. Born in September of ’92, they started life as a Berlina before being carted off to HSV for the royal treatment. Descending from the VN Group A SS it has some similar features, such as a modified body kit, larger 330mm brakes and the illusive Black Engine block with D port heads and 4-bolt mains which produced 200kw with a regular manifold. The interior was layered with a blue velour and had 3 different options, standard, devonish or devonish with leather bolsters. The GTS was limited to 130 units and came in Maranello Red, Anthracite Grey or Alaskan White.

Underbody Works List - 1992 HSV VP GTS

-New slotted rotors all round, new pads.

-Re-sealed brake calipers

-Braided brake lines

-Billstein shock absorbers with King springs (Supers front, Ultras rear)

-Differential swap with 3.9 ratio gears, custom reluctor rings for ABS

-Full SuperPro bush kits all round with link pin kit

-Whiteline adjustable sway bars

-Polished brake lines

-Stoneguard underbody spray

-New bearings, tie rod ends and ball joints

-Adjustable KMAC strut tops

-Spray painted parts inc:

Fuel tank, straps, tailshaft, diff, exhaust, front struts, springs, shockies, diff mount, rotors, brake calipers.

Thanks :) Yeah I came across a tutorial on how to make you own so I gave it a crack. Thinking about switching out the blue for a white.

White would probably be better and help give a sharper look. LED white that is, not halogen-white. The blue looks so cool in that dark photo though. Kind of reminds me of Transformers for some reason
