Looks like you are caring for this VP SS well. I have always had a soft spot for the VN and VP SS's. Too many of them are getting thrashed out and not looked after. Well done!

Unfortunately absolutely ZERO RVN 355, other than replacing the bumper 'n garnish 'n painting it up. Trying 2 get the wagon mobile so I can take the VP off the road.(Need a bloody commo V8 trans and the diff after I've paid Mondo the other 1/2 off.)
Cam, lifters, springs, memcal, T/chain set 'n machineworks' 1st on the list, so I don't have 2 run the cam in, and the engine at the same time.....besides I want to see what it's like with the different cam. Gunna have 2 get it part by part b4 I install it though....

Well, now seeing as the wagon is (sort of) mobile and regoed and the ignition barrel cacked itself on the last day of rego cutting back driving time by 12 hours, it's now official- THE SS IS OFFICIALLY OFF THE ROAD FOR REBUILD!
First stop? Engine....ETA? 2010? Lets hope it's sooner....![]()
Pulled all the skirtings off the car and the front and rear bumpers off and headlights out aswell. Found a noice little section of rust in the battery tray battery retaining panel and a spot in the rear window seal that I'll have to deal with. Maybe fabricate a new section as I don't think they make a repro part yet-but I think I'll check 1st at Rare Spares. Took the rad overflow/washer bottle out, CAI and airbox assy and now I got to work out how the relay rails are removed as it seems broken as the lid doesn't sit properly as is (looks like a fine screwdriver to remove it?? Don't know. I'll work it out). Had to repair 1 of the spotlight brackets as it was an elliptical shape, instead of rectangular, and the other, I fitted the spotty itself to the other bracket, as the original 1 was cracked diagonally from top 2 bottom. When I get som cash I'll get some gloss black to paint up the brackets and the front and rear reo's and bum,per brackets aswell. Then get saving 4 the compressor. In the meantime I have 2 decide whether to leave it Alaskan, paint it all Raven or even Ignition with a pearl???
Soon going to remove the inlet and the heads off for the rebuild/ mods suit the new cam b4 I start saving 4 the cam itself bottom end parts and rebuild...
1 thing's 4 sure- she's looking sad 'n sorry 4 herself atm.
plans for your ss sounds sweet as mate. will be a little weapon when finished.
