Just gave the Calais a wash and clay bar, de greased and washed the engine bay and chamois. Hasn't had a good clean like this for a while, still scrubs up alright though.

Looks as good as it always has. Hard to beleive this thread has been here for over 5 years and you still have the cars most people on the forum seem to change their cars every few years.

I noticed from the pictures you no longer have calais lights and garnish. Not a fan of the white lines/stripes?

Thanks Rory. I tend to hang onto cars more than most people, but i like the cars so why change? The Torana has a bit of an emotional attachment though, being my first car and all (had it about 13 years now). I have thought about buying something else to replace the VN but i just havn't found the right car yet as i really want to go older (HZ Stato). can't see the point in going newer really as i don't really like much past VS and if i bought a VR-VS i'd be buying the same car in a later shell. So keep the VN. It's still a good car (now that the stupid leaky sunroof is gone), so i'm in no hurry to offload it.

The lights are still Calais, but the garnish is a stocker i re painted in 2 pak black, just never got around to putting the stripes back on it.

Thanks mate, yeh i heard it was in there, just havn't got to a newsagents to get it. It should be even better this time around, stay tuned.
