This is my VP V6, I have had her 14 years and she's been great. Done heaps of k's in her and she still goes strong. Always serviced her myself. About a year ago I restored her as the old paint was faded, but now I think she looks pretty good. This pic was taken just after I put some 15" mags on her (you can still see the jack on the ground LOL)

What 20yo car doesn't? There'd be few with factory paint in mint condition still going around (and for 550....)

Yeah, I probably should have mentioned that I prepped the bonnet and hatch for a respray When I got the car there was abit of rust on the rear hatch and the bonnet had faded patches on it.

Just waiting for the paint at the moment. Autobahn has been messing me around.

Well anyway so far Ive cleaned up the paint on the sides and most of the roof. Sanded the good paint with 1200 grit wet 'n' dry paper, then again with 2000 wet 'n' dry paper, then used rubbing compound and finally finished it off with some cut and polish (Alot of hard work!)

Unfortunately though, on the roof I wasnt careful enough and didnt realise how thin the paint was and almost sanded right down to undercoat. This means I need to paint a small part of the roof (Picture of paintwork) So yeah Im pretty annoyed about that.

On the positve side of things I got my chrome grille today from ebay and it looks great

I think there is acouple of pics of my ss in its current look.
Motor has just had a freshen up with new piston rings full machined and hot tank block and whatever else they do acl bearings heads match ported and polished mild crow cam springs retainers manley valves all the good bits,
Has 5 speed box with new exedy clutch machined fly wheel.Also reco diff.
Pedders bushes rubbers springs struts bla bla bla you all know how it goes once you start.If the pics up load I will put more up soon of interior.

Yeah I actually just picked them up on monday Lol.I have been chasing them for a while.I think they look O.K for now but I seem to like the look of the factory wheels more.

It's the original paint, that's what happens with a VN if you look after it it's whole life.
