Nice work mate. Well done on the switch placement. How did you come up with it?
Not sure just sat in the car and had a look around. I did't want it in full view and my mechanic pointed it out as i was looking at putting it in the little glove box below the steering coloum. So i pulled the steering cououm off and there was enough room. It easy to get to and you don't really see it good enough for me.

You could hide a switch for the lights inside the drivers side glovebox area.Sure there would be a spot there.Damn i miss my VQ.
Doh,didnt read your last post.Great minds eh?
I like how you didnt use the black Caprice bumper moulds, what you have is much better.Do you have the rear chrome(stainless) pieces for the rear?I have a set i think but they need some repair. If you want em they are yours.
ill be putting another switch in the glove box for the level ride suspension when i get that installed in a few months. I was never a fan of the black strip on the caprice bumper i just re used my chrome one

Just thought that i would post up some old pics of the Statesman and a bit of info for any one thats interested.
This was the first week i got the car. mmmm VN Caiais wheels soo sexy
With in a few months i picked up some Sv5000 rims and got the re polished, I also added the rear spoiler but it wasn't painted at that stage.
I later changed the wheels to VP Senators also had them re polished. Caprice grill was also added at this stage.
Then i got few things painted
Then another wheel change to what basicly it is today

That timeline is awesomeI love watching a car's journey. Some interesting choices in wheels along the way. The VN Calais numbers were the best. No competition.
haha, damn hot VQ now. Love it.

Thanx mate sure has change a bit over the years.
The reason for the Sv500 rims and then the Senators was they where the only rims that would fit without fitting spacers. The other way was to get 3 piece rims like the ones on the car now but they cost $3500 and at the time i didnt have that sort of cash.
Had a bit of time today so i started to clean up the VS IRS rear. Just cleaned up the welds and got rid of any bits of crap. Still got the other arm and the centre to do yet but ill get there.

Ill still drive it dont bother me one bit. Its quite easy to clean just give it a whipe over with the chamos. Driven in the rain a few times and then cleaned the front parts that i had painted no problem.
Still deciding on rear springs not sure how much lower ill go
