Give us an update on the dash already. Is it back together?
EDIT- just found some updates in other parts of the forum.
Am interested to know if you think the effort has been worth it in the end and if everything has met your expectations

Well... Im only halfway there lol.
I took the dash out on Wednesday but left it at that so I could sleep before work (had night shift)... Thursday I slept when I got home then got up and painted the dash black and blue.
Friday I was meant to finish it off, but got stuck on a bolt. Theres an allan key bolt that connects the A/C high and low pressure hoses to the HVAC box and mine would NOT budge. It stuffed 2 allen keys, including a sidchrome one it snapped. I got it out 7:30ish last night and took the HVAC box out, and got coolant everywhere
But im not touching it this weekend as 1.) im lazy 2.) its 40 degrees and 3.) i need a mates soldering kit.
So i'll finish it Monday... But so far other than that 1 bloody bolt its gone well and is worth it.
Only issues I've had are the allen key bolt, removing steering wheel was a bit of a whore, and broke a wire that goes to my aftermarket tacho but thats nothing.
Once finished I will upload some pics and write up some in depth instructions for anyone else that wants to do it.
Ahh k so it kinda sounds like there was only a couple of little things that have held you up while the rest has been pretty straight forward so far..... cool. Hopefully it will inspire others to give it a go!

What a mess hehe, making good progress cant wait to see the dash back in and painted.
The new sideskirt looks good. Do you also have trouble fitting all the stereo cables behind the headunit like me? Cant remember wat it is like on climate vs non climate, it does look pretty much the same tho....
PS I would like to see a picture of the bare/ nearly bare firewall from inside the cabin too.... so I hope you have 1 to share.

Yeah will show ya one tomorrow mate... I finish the climate tomorrow and dash goes back in. Will be repainting blue sections in Cobalt Blue, same paint as used on the outside of my car.
yeah im looking forward to see how the black dash comes out.. black painted dashes can look tacky if not done right..
Ive been thinking of painting my dash blue or getting a silver one. I can't decide so I cant wait to see yours in the blue to help me decide which looks best.
Are you going to be at peter brock memorial on sunday cause if you are ill see you there :-)
Yeah I will definitely be there! This means I get to see your car finally...
Cool. I have lots of new things to show off :-D And ive been dying to see your car for ages now.

I have some pics of the dash out completely to put up which shows a real messWill put em up later tonight.
I'll get some pics of the solar sensor and wiring, climate fan speed controller, and A/C hoses up tomorrow night. Too much hassle to upload all the pics at once![]()
Spot on with the heater hoses - THE hardest bit. The place you have put the temp sensor is were I put it first but moved it when I got hot readings from the metal around it. Moved it down a bit to the plastic splitter in the front bumper. Reads spot on now.
