here's my VP Calais it's a 5L with the usual tweaks, exhaust, K&N,etc.

One of the nicer colours for that model, polish the rims and drop it and it would look real nice. put up some more pic's please.

i think keep the rims how they are i dont like the look of them polished up..

Yeah, keep the rims as they are. I've seen them chromed on a VQ, they looked good, but I think for this car they'll look better standard.

engine wise this has extractors, 2 1/2 inch exhaust 1 muffler (redback i think), K&N filter, OTR CAI, 10mm topgun leads.

i didn't paint them, they were like it when i bought it, but i have a tin of touch up paint, i'll look tomorrow. but all i did was wrote down the paint code on the build tag and went to autopro and got them to order me a touch up tin.

ye i did that at supercheap, told em tha code, they looked in there book n said here ya go this is it, but then once i sprayed it tha difference is huge

go to a crash repairer, they should know for sure, how many times would of they used the colour.

Here's a few old pics that i found, the HQ is my other car, it has a 253 V8 and an Aussie 4 speed (it was a 202, trimatic),the interior is covered in felt. i've done everything on this car myself, except for the paint, it's also got a few gauges i put in the dash. wheels are 245's all round. twin 2 inch redback exhaust system, with two tiny mufflers, sounds awesome.

i painted 2 extra clubbys i have, black, and put em on my car and i decided i'm going to paint my good set black, it looks tough as i rekon and it's different too, theres not 1 car in my town with black rims.

Steve Wicks and Sons can powdercoat them for $50 a wheel, there opposite the drive in at gepps cross.

Not sure how far out of Adelaide you are, or if its worth the drive or not.
