ripped out the LEDS the other day, now have one Blue CCF 100mm fluro tube behind cluster, an one 100mm White CCF fluro infront of Dials to light em up, much better now, ill get sum pics laters

Calais was in a acco on sunday at about 1pm in surfers paradise, was traveling down a street, a BAXR6 pulled up to the intersection, stopped, i broke a lil then put foot back on accel, as he had stopped, then he tried to pull out infront of me, didnt make it gave him almost sum tbone action, would have been good if i did, but just took out guard, my car will most likly be written off.

I got a call today from his insurance, im covered as it was there fault, and admitted it to police, soo im sweet, just the stuff around with no car, n waitin to hear if mine will ge fixed or not, its pretty bad i dont think it will be fixed jsut payed out n ill then fix it.

Yeah i get ss front hehe, told em the Lip had busted, n i left it at the scene.

If it gets written off, i get to keep it n get paid out the market value for the car, soo i will go get another, n have a projector, or spares, just depends on the outcome of this assesment.

Should have that done in a day or two.

Mite strip it, who knows, im just ****ed off, first scratch on the car since i got it, n its prob a write off.

Im hoping it gets fixed, its a good car, i dont think i would find one as good, without stuffin around for a month or so lookin.

I hope it can all get fixed by the 14th soo i can go on this cruze, but i doubt it will be, will be the first jc cruze since i signed up that ive missed.

Well they just called me to let me know what the quote is that they are sending off the the XR6 insurance company, my damage is $5884.

Not sure as yet if write off or not, prob is with that much damage.

Sooo now i just gotta wait to hear back from their insurance too see if she a fixer or not

I think that quote is a bit rediculous, its goin to get write off for sure i recon, ive found a clean vp berlina same as the calais, white/grey, im goin to get that with the payout n trick it out with the calais bits.

Thats if it dont get fixed, but 6K damage its not goin to get fixed for insurance, i mite fix it up myself, but yeah dunno

God DAMN... what a joker... I've been pulled out infront of like that before, but was lucky enough to have just enough room to swerve and spin out instead of going head-on into them.

Well just got a big surprize then, looks like they mite be fixing it eh.

Just got the call then, he said they are really thinkin about fixin it as the condition of the car is that good for its age.....

Soo i dont care as long as i get it back, they said pay out would be about 4k with me keeping the car, soo yeah i dunno what to do, if i get payed out i will get the Berlina n deck it out as calais, get mags n crap.

But anyways least its goin ahead with sumfink.


Anyway on a good note, my mate has a body shop with a heap of kits he is swapping for cartons, im goin to get a full kit n they got about 6 styles to choose from for VP n they got buggar all for VP, VT's they have heaps of, just for a couple cartons im hopeing to get a full kit, then just have to paint it hahah

unlucky bout tha car man just read through n had a look at ur car b4 the accident looks like a nice tidy car man system looks the goods, i rekon fix it up hey some ppl dont like it after they have been repaired but if u find a good enough panel beater and mechanic im sure u'll get it back 2 the way she was

Ill get it fixed either way ive decided, went had a better look at it, dont look too bad, no twisting around ther towers, just a slight push back say 5mm soo its not goin to be hard to fix up.

Told them they could use 2nd had guard/rad suuport n ac condensor, but the rest i wasnt new, head and fog lights new bar n reo n rad n trans cooler, but rest is sweet from wreckers if its straight, i jsut want it back how i had

that reinforcement bar is pushed up bad man, they wont fix it all, trust me, your panels wont line up properly etc (happened to me) oh well atleast your not out of pocket and another calais isnt dead

Its gettin fixed as we speak,guards n bonnet n rad support are 2nd hand and a couple small bits but all staight, new Full SS bar, headlights, foggies radiator, transcooler.

Came to 3500-4k this quote.

They couldnt find a ss bar, but holmart has em, lucky i found em on there.

Should ahve it back in the next week n half 2weeks hopfully

gotta ring up their claims n get me a hire car outta em now

I'm sure it won't be -too- bad I fixed up a mate's VP that he almost wrote off. Went straight into the back of a 4WD, and I SWEAR upon goodness, the reo bar and front bumper were bent at an 80 degree angle inwards. I could actually fit the bumper into his boot without any issues

A trip to the wreckers and $220 later, and we had a matching Calais front end on his Exec ^^ haha, lined up straight and everything No issues!

Well its been a while since i got her back, handles better than b4 smash, but i have done the sway links.

Im still havin a problem with the temp stayin inbetween almost 1/2 n 1/2, it just sits really high compared to before the smash.

I think its just the crappy genuine trans cooler they fitted, im goin to get a aftermarkety n another thermo fan to bolt behind the cooler n infront of the condensor and see if that helps at all.

I can sit in traffic jam for 20min with the thermo on the hole time, if its on 1/4 its stays there, but if at half it stays there too, wont cool just stays level, unlike b4 crash.

but meh least i got it back n havnt had any troubles

Hey all, got sum news bout me bitch, ive finally picked up my GTS grill from the smash shop on friday, sum 6months after the smash.

They did a **** job on the painting got a nice paint run in the letterbox opening that i gotta sand back n fix, they wanted $40 for it, but i didnt pay, not yet or ever.

They made me wait long enuff for it

They have had the thing in there shop for 2months they got it in 2weeks after i was last in, then they lost my number.

Its not the best mold, SSV done it, dont quiet sit high enuff, got nice gap between bonnet n grill.

But hey its better than a smashed one hahah.

Besides that i aint done much to me car, service's etc, need tyres, been slidin everywhere coz damm camber wear.

The Grill is fitted better now, not on a lean just aint got new pics yet.

Plans to put my shift kit in soon, next few weeks, hopfullyit will stop my 1-2nd lag on changes.
