thats nice princess... lol
if u really must no, i got the gilmer drive coz i had a layby on at autobarn for a ute sub and amp for my old ute, but i sold the ute and instead of loosing the money i had already put on the layby, i decided to use it for store credit... and there wasnt anything i needed at the time, so i got a gilmer drive. it was just over $200 for the whole setup, so why not. yes, it doesnt give u any performance gains, but it tidys up the engine bay, which is one thing i am slowly doing, amongst other things, and gives it a tuff sound aswell... trust me, ive turned plenty of heads with it on there now lol
marc, the waterpump bearing is on its way out... i have a new one here now to go on, but that will happen after i fix another problem
i now no why i ran slower at the drag day... my fuel pump was on its way out. it finally gae up on me on the way to work on monday morning. after alot of ****ign around, and trying to work out what was wrong with the car, we finally discovered it was the fuel pump. so off i went to buy a walbro 255l/ph replacement pump... now, due to lack of time, the car is at a mates place, with the bum up in the air, and no fuel tank... itll hopefully be doen by the weekend... aswell as the waterpump.
Ah that sucks, I did a tune for a guy with blue tops not long ago and it wouldn't run right, I kept telling him his car was up the **** and he kept telling me it wasn't lol. Nut I knew it was, in the end after trying a few different settings I decided the car wasn't getting the amount of fuel it should be (I had to set the blue tops as almost the same size as stock to get it to run half way decent and it was still slow!) so anyway off he went to get a fuel pressure test and it was stuffed right up, he changed the pump and it's been powering on ever since, with the proper injector settings too. So the lesson is dodgy fuel pumps are bad
Try backing the Gilmer belt off a bit? It may have been at bit crook before we fitted the Gilmers, and having the belt a bit too tight may have just made it worse. I did the W/P when I put my Gilmers on, as I noticed it starting to weep out of the tell tale hole. My car has less kays on it then yours, so if yours is still the original pump, its probably time for a new one anyway.

If not, i will just do it in my VZ SSZ
Dam, it has been a while since i have been here...
Marc, if your still around, the gilmer drive is still going great. We will have to catch up some time, if you still have your SS, and get some happy snaps. I got a mate that has a white VP SS aswell, and it is as tidy as the day it left the showroom floor. Bloody mint![]()
tuff car man looks like the whits international only tuffer 'cos of the red pin stripe.
put the 383 stroker kit in her and she'll fly then, works out to almost a 6L i think with a shit load of tourqe. plus you can still run a small cam so it's half decent on fuel still.
love the ss matem top job with the spats, im proves the look of any vp so much. good work
unreal man
Sold the VP SS now. Now playing with my SSZ
