hey hey
I'm happy how those vents came up. We'll get it up to scratch soon enough
Don't like the red/white/green gauges & rear view mirror, not a fan of the red interior either, but each to there own i guess! Tell me, why the hell would you put the gauges on the passanger side?!?! Surely they would be better on the drivers side where most people put them, so they can be seen!
yeah, each to there own, the guages are put on the passenger side so they dont obstruct my view, if you'd have a closer look, they're angled towards the driver.
The colors represent the Italian flag.
Just a couple more pics. had some fun with the lights
you might be able to tell I'm a Wog![]()

how low can u go![]()
does the car have springs in that pic, or its running on bumpstops
Got a bit bored with the black
Took out the springs for that pic. Wanted to drive it but would not of made it out my driveway. Still looks good
Definitely not a fan of the mirror or guage colours (italian colours)...
The centre console looks like its coming out ok though![]()
Finished product
thats a photoshop though...
not a fan of the different coloured gauges very tacky but i think would look quite nice if they were painted the same red as the car nice spot for them too, looks like its coming along though just needto retrim the seats and dash and it will look mint
the pics are from my phone, they're pretty ****ty quality, cant see the color in anything. I've gotta get my mums camera for some better quality stuff
this is me best mates car, got a lot of work to put into it yet to get it up to show class. as far as the guages being tacky, they were originally going to be part of a theme but they're staying that way because of the heritage, they're something different. Thats the point of most of the project is to have something thats just that little different so its not just the same VN Commo job like every other one out there.
Regards Slipstream001 :P
lol photoshop pic saying u took the springs out, yeah right mate...

Nice blue dash.
Yeah the seats will be replaced, not sure which way to go, but the car is being rebuilt from the ground up. this is just the start. keep checking back it'll be changing over time, like I said, this project is to make this car something different. not just your run of the mill VN.
As far as the paint and guages well each to there own I guess. the pictures dont do it justice, it's Black and Red.
There's not much you can do to a VN commodore that hasn't been done already, seriously. You say you're going to make it original.. But there's a lot of VN's with guages out there, and painted dash's seriously.
Good luck maintaining your painted console area too mate, I did mine ages ago, and it's turned to major ASS.
of course, take a look at Vn2nV's car, thats something I've never seen before. Sure maybe a couple of pieces have been used together on cars but the mix is unique. our project is the same. for both cars.
This one's mine.
Custom VP Calais Series II
As far as maintaining the dash, all paintwork is done with the proper materials and is made tough to last, the dash is armor oiled, its basically the original dash when it comes to cleaning. all the plastics are clear coated for protection and the project will shortly become a non driving car one the major works begin.
I love how he avoids answering why he lied about saying he took the springs out when you can clearly see its a photoshop job... Not even a good one at that.
80% vn's have gauges which pretty much prove USELESS in stock 6's unless it's a VOLT gauge. Even then there pretty useless.
80% of vn's have painted interiors..
80% of Vn's have pod filters..
Your's is unique with having different driver & passenger seats.
And also, whoever that is topless, his nipples are the size of apes! absolutely wrong! *goes to throw up*
p.s- no offence ofcourse![]()
