GTS might of got HM headers to bump up the power to 200 KW?? cos ive never seen a STOCK commodore with a joiner or cats in that position
thats exactly how mine is setup but mine looks somewhat neater than that for some reason
and why is the left hand side cat converter upside down

Are they HM's? they look longer than pacemakers?! but yeah it looks like a good setup, Straight through mufflers an x-pipe and a dual hotdog to be sure it's quiet would be all you could do to improve it

pretty sure the HM tri-y dual cat setup looked similar to that.....a 15" long by 8" round resonator on the back should keep things nice and deep and a little more quiet

Hehe, just got back from the club. I dunno ey, looks stock to me. 2.25" system. Im not even getting a resonator, just dual 2.5" straight throough mufflers/hotdogs then out the back.
Oh yeah, the left cat was all broekn, so i replaced it with a spare v6 one i had layingf around.

I was 99% sure it was stock when I owned it. Both mufflers have HSV embossed in them and it looked like it had been there since the year dot. Had a nice burble to it too.

it definitly looks stock from the mufflers back, the factory IRS HSV system that i have is the same except the the cats are located much further forward and the ballance pipe is in a different location. it really depends on who fitted the headers (HSV or previous owner?)

This thing should make alot of powa once Mack solves the starting issue which I'm almost certain is the same issue that cost him 10-20 rwkw on the dyno

does seem odd, what does his engine make in factory spec, 200kw? i would expected more at the wheel then 136rwkw. of course that crappy coil he had on it wouldn't have helped at all

Yeah 200kw stocko, the 136 readout showd me that it was behind the 8ball. I am certain that ive gained power since that dyno because before that dyno I couldn't spin 2nd gear and now I can, fairly well. Im really not sure on the issue of this starting problem, I have been contemplating giving in and going to a auto electrician/auto diagnostic place an d getting them to find the issue. This wednesday the new cat back exhaust will go on and should be great, the test vehicle used in the PDF was a VS clubsport which is 185kw, my car has a better engine so the gain should be even greater then their test car. Just hoping that it dosnt sound bad and really loud.

you new or reco alternator suggests that the electrical system hasn't been in good shape for a while, can't remember if you have replaced the battery (might have to go back and read through the whole thread ) low voltage in the system would result in less power also

you really need to check the voltages and see what it drops to when starting the car
