if its not reading correct there will be a flat line momentarily in the square pattern on the screen
i dunno if its the correct way but its the easiest way i found when i was checking mine cos i had an intermittent misfire with my old dizzy
sounds dodgy but it works

Not as silly as it sounds. By now the original cam may be showing signs of wear.

Yeah, I thought of that aspect too, replacing it with another stock variation cam. Its known that 5 liters chew cam lobes. From what ive seen the lobes look ok. Once I get the dizzy back in Ill crank it by hand and check the cam all the way around. I dont have the funds for a cam and lifters now anyway. Maybe next time.

Bought more goodies today, got coolant and more vacumme hoses and all sorts of stuff. Sent my memcal away again to Foam-King for a upgrade, thanks allot champion. Ive got a new washer bottle on order from holden and some other stuff coming in tmr. I also went down to a smash repairer and put my rocker and injector covers in to be painted! $150 cash for 4 covers isnt too bad, and they will be done by tmr arvo! Talk about service! So this weekend she should be up and running, then I will get my tune back next week and awwwayyy she goessssss.
